Before we get started...

Well, I never thought I would, but here I am, entering the blogging world! Recently I've given a lot of thought to writing down some things that have changed my life, and this is me making the jump. I will tell you right off the bat that I will include personal stories, struggles, victories, and God in my posts. I would not be where I am today without my Heavenly Father, and He will always be at the center of what I write.

So. About me.

I'm 21, and loving it. I love movies, the beach, french fries, and my family. I am the youngest of two, just one older sister who makes my life better by simply being in it. My parents have taught me everything I know; the good, the bad, and the ugly, and I will forever be grateful to them for it. I am about 5 months from completing my Bachelor's degree in Social Work, with a minor in Autism Studies. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love the gospel, and I love my Savior more than I could ever say.

One goal I will have for these posts will be to keep them fairly short. Who wants to read long blogs filled with ramblings and soap box rants? Not me. But I do feel that the things I have to share are important. Life's lessons are constantly shaping me into the person I need to be. Sometimes it sucks. Sometimes it's the best feeling in the world. But I have learned so much, and I want to share it. I wish someone could have just sat me down and explained everything to me rather than having to go out and blunder around, making mistakes, until I figured it out. But then, that's the only way we humans learn. We have to experience it for ourselves.

So as we go together on this journey called life, let's take it one step at a time. I hope to share things that have made a difference in the way I think and live. Maybe you'll read it and decide it's not for you. But maybe, just maybe, you'll begin to see yourself in some of these struggles.

Let the journey begin.
